This design proposal seeks to breathe new life into the existing Marra Square retail centre in Langebaan.  The architecture enhances the prominence of existing historical gables by receding new buildings and creating quiet, rhythmic facades.  In principle the design activates the street edges through the introduction of line shops that link to an internal shopping street, which in turn connects the two outdoor courtyards.

West facing bachelor units upstairs have spectacular views of the Langebaan lagoon. Urban linkages to the neighbouring development consolidate and enhance the touristic core of the town. The architecture aspires to a contemporary expression of the local vernacular style through the use of whitewashed, low lying, flat roofed buildings and slatted light.
